Job summary

YMCA of the East Bay is seeking a part-time Group Leader to actively supervise students and lead daily activities designed to be meaningful and engaging. You will plan curriculum-aligned activities, monitor safety, and maintain attendance records, working with staff to ensure high-quality program delivery.

The role requires strong supervision skills, ability to relate to diverse groups, and the capacity to coordinate with school staff.

Qualifications

• Must have 48 semester college units or successful completion of the Instructional Aid (IA) Exam.
• Experience working with youth in a similar environment preferred.
• Demonstrate a love of working with youth and being a positive role model.

Responsibilities

• Actively supervise all students to ensure safety at all times.
• Plan and implement developmentally appropriate, culturally relevant activities.
• Maintain attendance records and plan program events.
• Collaborate with staff to ensure safety, cleanliness and safety standards.
• Communicate with supervisor about progress, behavior, and injuries.
