Job summary

YMCA of the East Bay is seeking a Site Coordinator for our after-school Expanded Learning Program. You will supervise staff, coordinate daily activities, and maintain safety and high-quality standards aligned with YMCA values.

Responsibilities include scheduling, record-keeping for CPM audits, staff development participation, and collaboration with teachers to connect activities to academics. Strong supervisory and planning skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 48 semester college units, or IA Exam completion.
• Two years of previous experience in a professional child care or school-age program.
• One year of previous supervisory experience.
• Ability to relate effectively to diverse groups and be a positive role model.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook and basic computer programs.
• CPR, First Aid, AED certifications within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and engage staff, ensuring activities align with YMCA values and student needs.
• Create daily program schedules and yearly calendars with community events.
• Maintain accurate participation, meal records, and CPM audit-ready documentation.
• Ensure program meets grant requirements and district guidelines.
• Be a campus leader, integrating the program with campus operations.
• Maintain a 20:1 participant ratio at all times.
• Attend staff meetings and participate in program improvement processes.
• Collaborate with school staff to link activities to the school day curriculum.
• Tutor and instruct students in language arts, math, and reading when needed.
• Maintain weekly lesson plans and daily activity logs.
