Job summary

Arc Experience in Southern California is seeking an Assistant Site Coordinator for a part-time, non-exempt role at the Imperial Valley site.

You will assist the Site Coordinator, oversee student safety, and help run indoor/outdoor enrichment activities while coordinating attendance and sign-ups.

Requirements include 2+ years in after-school programs, 48+ college credits (or proficiency exam), TB test, Live Scan, and English-Spanish bilingual ability is a plus.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of experience in after-school programs or youth recreation.
• Excellent communication with kids and parents.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Site Coordinator and serve as second point of contact for parents and administrators.
• Oversee safety and well-being of students during after-school activities.
• Establish rules and expectations to promote positive behavior.
• Coordinate, manage, and participate in enrichment activities.
• Attend trainings or staff meetings on best practices in childcare and program management.
• Address challenging behavior constructively with supervisors or parents as needed.
• Facilitate sign-up procedures and ensure accurate attendance tracking.
• Create clubs and lead activities (e.g., career readiness, cooking, anime, dance).
