Job summary

Arc After School & Experiential Education in California is seeking an Assistant Site Coordinator to support after-school programs and families. This part-time, non-exempt role reports to the Site Coordinator and focuses on student safety, engagement, and smooth site operations.

Ideal candidates bring at least 2 years of youth program experience, strong communication skills, and comfort talking with kids and parents. Bilingual English-Spanish is a plus; TB test and Live Scan may be required.

Qualifications

• Two years of experience in after-school programs or youth recreation.
• Strong communication with kids and parents.
• College credits of 48+ or pass an academic proficiency exam.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Site Coordinator by acting as the second point of contact for parents and administrators.
• Oversee the safety and well-being of students during after-school activities.
• Establish and enforce rules and expectations to promote positive behavior.
• Coordinate, manage, and be involved in indoor and outdoor enrichment activities.
• Attend trainings or staff meetings on childcare, safety, and program management.
• Organize and lead a variety of activities, including homework help, crafts, and clubs.
