Arc After School & Experiential Education in Los Angeles, CA is seeking an Assistant Site Coordinator to support the Site Coordinator and ensure safe, engaging after-school activities. You will help manage student activities, sign-ups, and behavior, while creating diverse clubs and programs for youth from local communities.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years in after-school settings, strong communication with families, and bilingual English/Spanish abilities.

Qualifications

At least 2 years of experience working in after-school programs or youth recreation, especially in ethnically and culturally diverse communities.
Strong communication with kids and parents.
College transcripts showing 48+ college credits or passing an academic proficiency exam.
TB test result and a Live Scan background check.

Responsibilities

Assist the Site Coordinator by acting as the second point of contact for parents and administrators.
Oversee the safety and well-being of students during after-school activities.
Establish and enforce rules and expectations to promote positive behavior.
Coordinate, manage, and be involved in indoor and outdoor enrichment activities.
Attend trainings or staff meetings to stay updated on best practices in childcare, safety, and program management.
Address challenging behavior constructively, involving supervisors or parents if necessary.
Facilitate sign-up procedures to ensure accurate attendance tracking.
Create unique clubs for students with diverse offerings (career readiness, cooking, anime, dance).
Organize and lead activities including homework help, games, arts and crafts, and educational projects.
