Job summary

Arc Experience in Southern California is seeking an Assistant Site Coordinator for after-school programs. This part-time, non-exempt role works directly with students and collaborates with school staff to deliver engaging activities and maintain a safe environment.

You will assist the Site Coordinator, oversee student safety, help plan enrichment activities, manage attendance, and support club creation while building leadership skills within our program.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of experience in after-school programs or youth recreation.
• Good communication with kids and parents.
• 48+ college credits or pass an academic proficiency exam.
• TB test and negative results with Live Scan background check.
• English–Spanish bilingual skills are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Site Coordinator as the second point of contact for parents and school staff.
• Oversee student safety and well-being during after-school activities.
• Establish and enforce rules to promote positive behavior.
• Coordinate and lead indoor and outdoor enrichment activities.
• Attend trainings or staff meetings on childcare and program management.
• Organize sign-up procedures and attendance tracking.
• Create and run clubs (career readiness, cooking, anime, dance, etc.).
• Lead activities such as homework help, games, arts and crafts, and educational projects.
