Job summary

Arc Experience in Southern California seeks a Site Coordinator to lead and support after-school programming. You will mentor Program Leads, manage a team, and ensure engaging activities that foster academic and personal growth for students.

The role requires 2+ years in after-school operations and 1+ year of team leadership, with strong communication and coordination with schools and families. Full-time, benefits-eligible position reporting to the Regional Manager.

Qualifications

• 2+ years’ experience in after-school programming operations and administrative skills.
• 1+ years’ experience managing a team.
• Strong communication with kids, parents, school staff and teachers.
• Ability to supervise and support staff with minimal direction.
• Collaborative work with all staff levels.
• Professional integrity and discretion.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Google Docs, and common operating systems.
• College transcripts showing 48+ credits or equivalent proficiency.
• TB test, Live Scan background check, CPR/first aid training within 12 months.
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan and oversee daily afterschool programs and activities aligned with our mission.
• Ensure programs are engaging and support academic, social, and emotional development.
• Recruit, train, and manage afterschool staff.
• Serve as primary contact for school administration and build partnerships.
• Develop staff schedules and conduct performance evaluations.
• Provide ongoing professional development for staff.
• Maintain safe, inclusive program environments and address behavior issues.
• Monitor attendance and student engagement; communicate with parents and staff.
• Coordinate with district staff to align with school and community needs.
• Communicate progress and program updates to parents/guardians.
• Maintain records and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Develop and manage the program budget and resources.
• Oversee program setup, transportation, and meals as needed.
