Job summary

Arc Experience is seeking an Assistant Site Coordinator for our after-school programs in Southern California. You will work directly with students, support the Site Coordinator, and help implement engaging activities while maintaining a safe environment.

The role offers part-time hours with morning and afternoon shifts, opportunities to develop leadership skills, and growth within our program across multiple school sites in San Diego.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years in after-school programs or youth recreation.
• Strong communication with kids and parents.
• College credits or proficiency exam completed.
• TB test and Live Scan background check required.
• Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Site Coordinator by acting as the second point of contact for parents and administrators.
• Oversee the safety and well-being of students during after-school activities.
• Establish and enforce rules and expectations to promote positive behavior.
• Coordinate, manage, and be involved in indoor and outdoor enrichment activities.
• Attend trainings or staff meetings to stay updated on best practices in childcare, safety, and program management.
• Address challenging behavior constructively, involving supervisors or parents if necessary.
