Job summary

Boys & Girls Clubs of Delaware seeks a youth worker to support development and operation of a quality school-age childcare program. The role aligns with Delacare rules for school-age centers and requires collaboration with the Childcare or Program Director.

The position starts mid-to-late December 2026; candidates should be available for that timeframe. Part-time hours are Monday–Friday, 3:00 PM–6:00 PM, with benefits for eligible staff.

Qualifications

• 18 years of age or older.
• 20 years of age or older and ability to drive 8 passenger van (license with <5 points).
• First Aid/CPR Certification, or complete within two months of hire.
• Must possess a School Age Site Coordinator Certificate from the Department of Education.
• Must possess a School Age Site Coordinator Administrator certificate from the Department of Education.

Responsibilities

• Assist in delivering age-appropriate programs reflecting the five core program areas and Youth Development Strategy for children ages 6–12.
• Help ensure safe implementation of all programs and activities, including equipment and facilities checks.
• Supervise children within guidelines and in compliance with state licensing regulations.
• Maintain productive relationships with parents, school faculty, and staff, and other visitors to the Club.
• Be a positive role model for children and adhere to organizational policies.
