Job summary

Boys & Girls Clubs of Delaware seeks a Youth Worker to assist in running a licensed school-age childcare program that adheres to Delacare rules. You will help deliver age-appropriate activities, supervise children aged 6–12, and model positive behavior in a safe, supportive environment.

Responsibilities include ensuring compliance, coordinating with parents and school staff, and contributing to program quality across multiple sites.

Qualifications

• Must pass FBI clearance and state background checks per DelaCare regulations.
• Must possess or obtain the required School Age site certificates according to Level I–III.
• Must be able to drive an 8-passenger van with a valid license and minimal points.

Responsibilities

• Assist with development and effective operation of a quality school-age childcare program.
• Ensure compliance with Delacare rules for school-age centers.
• supervise children ages 6–12 and maintain safety per regulations.
• Maintain productive relationships with parents, faculty, and staff.
• Present yourself as a positive role model for children.
