Job summary

Boys & Girls Clubs of Delaware is seeking a Jr. Youth Development Professional to support a high-quality after-school childcare program that meets Delacare rules for school-age centers.

You will assist in delivering engaging activities and help maintain a safe, nurturing environment for youth aged 6–12. The role supports the IPT and Club Director, with hours during the school year 3:00 PM–6:00 PM and summer hours 7:00 AM–6:00 PM, offering valuable experience in youth development and community

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age or older.
• Must have own transportation and ability to travel to events.

Responsibilities

• Assist with effective operation of a quality school-age childcare program that complies with current Delacare rules for school-age centers.
• Deliver a variety of age-appropriate programs and activities reflecting the club’s core program areas and Youth Development Strategy for children ages 6–12.
• Assist with safe implementation of programs and activities, including equipment, facilities, age-appropriateness, and supervision.
