Job summary

Johnstown YMCA in Johnstown, CO is hiring Program Leaders to support school-age activities, ensure safety, and model our core values: respect, responsibility, honesty and caring. Shifts are mornings 6:45am–8am and afternoons 2:30–6:00pm, Monday–Friday, with occasional full-day summer camps; at least three consistent days per week are preferred.

You will lead activities, supervise groups, uphold safety, attend trainings, and foster positive relations with youth, parents and staff; bilingual staff

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Provide documentation of 455 hours of experience with school-age children.
• CPR and First Aid certification (can be completed through YMCA).
• Work well on a team and communicate effectively with youth, parents and colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise children in small and large group activities.
• Adhere to program standards including safety and cleanliness standards.
• Attend staff meetings and trainings.
• Follow YMCA policies and procedures, including those related to medical, disciplinary situations and emergencies.
• Maintain confidentiality of YMCA issues and records and be punctual for shifts.
• Provide leadership to Program Aides and Volunteers and support to the staff team.
