Job summary

Boys & Girls Clubs of Delaware is seeking a Youth Development Professional to support and operate a school-age childcare program at Allen Frear Elementary. Responsibilities include delivering age-appropriate activities, supervising children, and ensuring compliance with Delacare requirements.

You will work under the direction of the Childcare or Program Director, coordinating with staff, parents, and the school community to provide a safe, engaging environment for youth ages 6–12.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old (Level I) and 20+ (Levels II/III).
• First Aid/CPR certification or planned completion within two months of hire.
• Must possess required School Age Site certificates depending on level.

Responsibilities

• Assist with development and operation of a quality school-age childcare program.
• Deliver age-appropriate programs reflecting the five core program areas.
• Supervise children ages 6–12 within licensing guidelines.
• Maintain relationships with parents, school staff and community visitors.
• Model positive behavior and ensure safety and compliance with policies.
