Job summary

Boys & Girls Clubs of Delaware is seeking a Youth Worker to support the development and operation of a quality school-age childcare program across Delaware. You will help ensure programs meet Delacare rules, supervise children ages 6–12, and work with staff to deliver engaging, safe activities.

The role emphasizes flexibility to cover hours before and after school and during summer, with various levels of certification required.

Qualifications

• Must be 18+ and hold a School Age Site Assistant Certificate.
• Level II requires 20+ years, valid 8-passenger van license, First Aid/CPR or certification within 2 months, and a School Age Site Coordinator Certificate.
• Level III requires School Age Site Coordinator Administrator certificate, 20+ years, and First Aid/CPR within two months.

Responsibilities

• Assist in development and operation of a quality after-school childcare program.
• Ensure compliance with Delacare rules for school-age centers.
• Supervise and engage children aged 6–12 with age-appropriate activities.
• Maintain safe program environments and protect equipment and facilities.
• Collaborate with parents, school staff, and community partners.
• Represent the Club as a positive role model and adhere to policies.
