Job summary

Boys & Girls Clubs of Delaware seeks a Youth Development Professional to support after-school programs for children ages 6–12 at our Seaford club, ensuring compliance with Delacare rules and delivering quality activities under supervision.

This part-time role requires energy, reliable attendance, and the ability to collaborate with staff, parents, and educators. Training and background checks are required; federal and state screenings apply.

Qualifications

• 18 years of age or older.
• Must have School Age Site Assistant Certificate.
• 20 years of age or older and ability to drive 8 passenger van (valid license with <5 points).
• First Aid/CPR Certification, or completion within two months of hire.
• Must possess a School Age Site Coordinator Certificate from the Department of Education.
• Must possess a School Age Site Coordinator Administrator certificate from the Department of Education.

Responsibilities

• Assist in delivering a variety of age-appropriate programs reflecting Boys & Girls Club’s five core program areas and Youth Development Strategy for children ages 6–12.
• Help ensure safe implementation of all programs and activities including equipment and facilities, age-appropriateness, and supervision.
• Maintain productive relationships with parents, school faculty and administrators and staff, and other visitors to the Club.
• Present yourself as a positive role model for children at all times.
• Contribute toward development of a positive identity and strong presence for the Boys & Girls Clubs of Delaware in the community.
• Assume other tasks, assignments and responsibilities as needed or directed.
