Job summary

Boys & Girls Clubs of Delaware seeks a Youth Development Professional to assist with the development and operation of a quality school-age childcare program in New Castle, DE. The role supports children ages 6–12, ensuring compliance with state rules and safety guidelines.

Under supervision of the Program Director, you will help deliver core program areas, build positive relationships with families, and uphold Delaware licensing standards while modeling professionalism and community values.

Qualifications

• 18 years of age or older.
• Must have School Age Site Assistant Certificate.
• Valid driver’s license with <5 points and ability to drive 8-passenger van.
• First Aid/CPR Certification, or completion within two months of date of hire.
• Must possess a School Age Site Coordinator Certificate from the Department of Education.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the development and effective operation of a quality school-age childcare program.
• Ensure compliance with Delacare rules for school-age centers.
• Assist in supervising children ages 6–12 and maintaining safety.
• Foster productive relationships with parents, school faculty and staff, and visitors to the Club.
• Model a positive role and adhere to program policies and procedures.
