Job summary

Boys & Girls Clubs of Delaware is hiring a Youth Development Professional to support the development and operation of a high-quality school-age childcare program in compliance with current Delacare rules. You will help deliver age-appropriate activities aligned with our Youth Development Strategy and supervise children ages 6–12 in a safe, engaging environment.

Qualifications

• All Levels must be able to pass FBI clearance and state background checks per Delacare regulations.
• Level I requires 18+ years and School Age Site Assistant Certificate.
• Level II requires 20+ years, valid license with <5 points, First Aid/CPR or certification within 2 months, and School Age Site Coordinator Certificate.
• Level III requires Site Coordinator Administrator certificate, 20+ years and van driving ability with <5 points.

Responsibilities

• Assist in developing and operating a quality school-age childcare program compliant with current Delacare rules.
• Deliver age-appropriate programs reflecting BGCDE’s five core program areas and Youth Development Strategy.
• Supervise children 6–12 within established guidelines and licensing regulations.
• Maintain productive relationships with parents, school staff, and visitors to the Club.
• Be a positive role model and adhere to club policies and Delaware STARS guidelines.
• Contribute to community presence of Boys & Girls Clubs of Delaware and support program tasks as needed.
