Job summary

Boys & Girls Clubs of Delaware seeks a Youth Development Professional to help manage a quality school-age childcare program for children aged 6–12 under supervision of the Childcare or Program Director.

You will deliver age‑appropriate activities across the Club's core program areas, ensure safety and licensing compliance, and build positive relationships with families, staff, and the community. The schedule is 3pm–6pm, Monday to Friday, with eligible part‑time benefits.

Qualifications

• Must be 18+ years old for Level I and 20+ for Level II/III.
• Level I requires an active School Age Intern Certificate.
• Level II requires a School Age Site Coordinator Certificate and ability to drive a van with <5 points on license; First Aid/CPR cert (or within two months).
• Level III requires Site Coordinator Administrator certificate, 20+ and van driving ability; First Aid/CPR cert.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with current state licensing requirements for school age childcare centers and address non‑compliance as needed.
• Assist in delivering age‑appropriate programs reflecting the Club's five core areas and Youth Development Strategy for ages 6–12.
• Supervise children within guidelines and in compliance with licensing regulations.
• Maintain productive relationships with parents, school staff, and other visitors to the Club.
• Present yourself as a positive role model and adhere to Club policies and Delaware STARS requirements.
• Support development of a positive identity and strong community presence for the Club.
