Job summary

Think Together is seeking a Substitute Program Leader to support students across various sites in the region. This part-time role emphasizes leadership, mentorship, and a safe, engaging learning environment.

You will provide homework help, run enrichment activities, and monitor student behavior while following approved lesson plans and safety guidelines. The position requires daily reliability and strong English communication.

Qualifications

Experience with young children and ability to inspire.
High school diploma or GED required.
48 college semester or 60 college quarter units or passing an Instructional Aide Test.
Ability to speak and write standard English for a public school setting.

Responsibilities

Provide homework assistance, academic enrichment and physical activity using provided curriculum.
Create an engaging environment that fosters belonging for kids.
Support students in making positive behavior choices and apply disciplinary measures when appropriate.
Engage children by following and assisting with lesson plans.
Ensure student safety by setup, break down, and ongoing site maintenance.
Promote positive interactions between volunteers and students per child safety guidelines.
Maintain student safety by taking roll and tracking sign-ins and sign-outs.
Identify student needs and communicate with Site Coordinator, teachers and parents as appropriate.
Commit to a full-year program, arrive on time, and complete time cards.
Participate in staff development activities.
