Job summary

Think Together is seeking Substitute Program Leaders to work at various sites throughout the region. This part-time role involves supervising students, delivering academic activities, and modeling positive behavior in a safe, nurturing environment.

You will provide homework help, lead enrichment activities, and support teachers with lesson plans while maintaining student safety and attendance. The program runs afternoons throughout the school year.

Qualifications

• Experience working with young children and ability to motivate.
• Effective communication with students and staff.
• Proof of graduation from High School or GED required.
• Additional college units or Instructional Aide Test may be required in some districts.

Responsibilities

• Provide homework assistance, academic enrichment and physical activity using program materials.
• Create engaging environment fostering a sense of belonging for kids.
• Support students in making positive behavior choices and discipline when needed.
• Engage children by following and assisting in lesson plans.
• Ensure student safety with setup, break down, and site upkeep.
• Promote positive interactions between volunteers and students per safety guidelines.
• Maintain student safety by taking attendance and reviewing sign-ins.
• Identify student needs and communicate with Site Coordinator and staff.
• Commit to a full-year program by arriving on time and completing time cards.
• Participate in staff development activities.
