Job summary

Think Together is seeking a Substitute Program Leader to support students across multiple sites in California. The role focuses on Homework help, enrichment, and supervision during after-school programs, fostering a safe, engaging environment.

Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED, plus college credits. Availability Monday through Friday and strong English communication are required to ensure smooth program operations and student growth.

Qualifications

• Experience working with young children and ability to inspire and motivate.
• Must be able to communicate effectively in standard English (speaking and writing).
• Availability to commit to a five-day work week (Mon-Fri).
• High school/GED completion required; additional college units noted.

Responsibilities

• Provide homework assistance, academic enrichment and physical activity using program materials.
• Create an engaging environment that fosters belonging for students.
• Support positive behavior choices and apply disciplinary measures when appropriate.
• Engage students by following lesson plans and contributing to activities.
• Ensure student safety and site cleanliness; assist in setup and breakdown.
• Promote positive interactions between volunteers and students per safety guidelines.
• Take attendance and manage sign-in/sign-outs; communicate needs to coordinators.
• Commit to a full-year program with punctuality and accurate time reporting.
• Participate in staff development activities.
