Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking a Mechanical Systems Designer for electrical test equipment supporting the New Glenn program. You will design mechanicals for test rigs, integrate with flight avionics, and ensure producibility from BOMs to documentation across Windchill.

Collaborate with electrical design engineers, technicians, and suppliers to build and qualify test systems, while maintaining safety and quality in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of hands-on assembly and test of aerospace hardware or systems.
• U.S. citizen/national or lawful resident (Green Card) required.
• B.S. in Aerospace, Electrical, Mechanical, or Physics.
• Experience with work order management, materials procurement, and production scheduling.

Responsibilities

• Perform 2D and 3D modelling of electrical systems.
• Manage BOMs and release docs in Windchill.
• Configure test setups, fixtures, and instrumentation per plans.
• Coordinate manufacturing activities for test system builds.
• Commit redlines to documentation during fabrication.
• Maintain test equipment, tooling, and testing area cleanliness and readiness.
• Work with test, flight and safety critical hardware and shop equipment.
• Mentor and train other personnel.
