Job summary

Qualifications

• B.S. degree or higher in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering.
• 5+ years designing aerospace or mechanical system elements for launch vehicles.
• Strong mechanical design and integration skills using 3D modeling tools.
• Experience with GD&T (ASME Y14.5).
• Ability to earn trust and collaborate in a diverse team.
• Experience in design of mechanisms or components.
• Knowledge of fabrication, integration, and quality control for machined parts.
• Understanding of materials and treatments.
• Ability to work independently on rapid development programs.
• U.S. citizen or eligible to work in the U.S.

Responsibilities

• Applies engineering techniques to design, install, modify, analyze, and repair mechanical systems hardware.
• Support design and integration activities.
• Identify work, resolve roadblocks to enable integration.
• Design, release, and support engineering artifacts across lifecycle.
• Evaluate feasibility, cost, and maintenance from proposals.
• Owns components and modifies designs for conformance.
• Investigate failures and diagnose issues; advise maintenance.
• Provide technical support for mission readiness test activities.
