Job summary

Blue Origin seeks a Mechanical/Aerospace Engineer to design, integrate, and test complex mechanical systems for New Glenn. You will collaborate with analysts, materials, manufacturing, and operations teams to deliver optimized hardware assemblies for vehicle integration and flight readiness.

The role emphasizes rapid development, strong GD&T, and independent work on mission-critical aerospace hardware. U.S. citizenship or eligibility is required.

Qualifications

• B.S. degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering.
• 5+ years of experience designing aerospace or equivalent mechanical systems.
• Strong mechanical design and integration using 3D modeling tools.
• Familiarity with GD&T (ASME Y14.5).
• Ability to work independently on rapid development programs.
• U.S. citizen/national or eligible to work in the U.S.

Responsibilities

• Applies engineering techniques to design, install, modify, analyze, and repair mechanical systems hardware.
• Supports design and integration activities.
• Identifies work and resolves roadblocks to facilitate integration tasks.
• Designs, releases, and supports engineering artifacts across the product life cycle.
• Evaluates feasibility, cost, and maintenance of designs or applications.
• Owns components and modifies product designs for conformance.
• Investigates failures and makes recommendations to maintenance.
• Provides technical support for mission readiness test activities.
