Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking a detail-oriented engineer to design and deliver mechanical systems for electrical test equipment that qualify flight avionics for New Glenn. You will model electrical assemblies, manage BOMs, and lead documentation release in Windchill, while coordinating with suppliers and manufacturing teams.

You should have 3+ years in aerospace test, strong collaboration skills, and familiarity with Creo, AutoCAD Electrical, Visio, Windchill, Confluence, and JIRA.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of hands-on experience with aerospace hardware or systems assembly and test.
  • General knowledge of test execution, instrumentation, and manufacturing coordination.
  • Experience with work order management, materials procurement, and production scheduling.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and graphical communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

  • Perform 2D and 3D modelling of electrical systems under design.
  • Manage bill of materials and configurations; release documentation for production in Windchill.
  • Configure test setups, fixtures, and instrumentation per plans and standards.
  • Coordinate manufacturing activities for building test systems (electrical racks, fixturing, harnessing).
  • Mentor and train other personnel; ensure safety and professionalism.
