Job summary

RTX is seeking candidates for its Engineering Development Program (EDP) in the United States. The program offers three 12-month/9-month/9-month rotations across engineering disciplines to broaden technical breadth and depth.

Selected hires will participate in a two-and-a-half year development track, joining Pratt & Whitney and other RTX teams, with onsite work and a comprehensive benefits package. Salary ranges from $57,200 to $108,800, reflecting location and experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering or Systems Engineering obtained by start date.
• Experience in product design, drawing definition/interpretation, material selection, thermal & structural analysis, manufacturing processes.
• Minimum 3.0 Cumulative GPA.
• Experience may be obtained through on-the-job experience, research, coursework, or projects.

Responsibilities

• Provide resolution of mechanical engineering problems of difficult and complex scope, seeking a balanced system solution, ensuring engineering excellence, all with oversight.
• Generate development hardware design solutions that meet the objectives of the test engines and facilitate the delivery of the development hardware to the test engines on schedule.
• Work with Operations to address production issues and evaluate hardware nonconformances to facilitate the timely delivery of production hardware.
• Process technically sound engineering changes within program schedule that meet performance metrics such as cost, weight, and part life.
• Work with our Customer Technical Support (CTS) team to respond to customer questions, review deteriorated hardware, and update engine maintenance manual limits.
• Utilize standard work and CORE/ACE tools.
