Job summary

Pratt & Whitney, a RTX company, is seeking candidates for the Engineering Development Program (EDP) in Development Operations and PSCV in Middletown, CT. This two-year rotation moves you through three functions before permanent placement with the Assembly Process Engineering team.

You will gain hands-on experience in engine assembly, process development, and continuous improvement while preparing for roles in propulsion technology and manufacturing leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or STEM major obtained by start date.
• The ability to obtain and maintain U.S. Government Security Clearance.
• Ability to travel up to 10% of the time.
• Minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA.

Responsibilities

• Create and approve jet engine assembly procedures per engineering requirements and Engine Development Plans
• Support the Assembly Floor through ownership of assembly instructions and troubleshooting of issues in coordination with Operations and Engineering disciplines
• Develop, implement, and validate robust new processes to ensure production readiness
• Grow technical proficiency in areas including engine hardware, assembly methods, and assembly equipment
• Participate in continuous improvement efforts to improve safety and efficiency in assembly activities
