Job summary

Engineering Resource Group seeks a Manufacturing Engineer to support aerospace/defense/industrial production. You will work hands-on on the shop floor, troubleshoot tooling and equipment, and develop routings, BOMs and work instructions.

CAD design of tooling and fixtures is required, with trials, data analysis and root-cause actions to improve yield and manufacturability. NPI transfer and Lean projects are part of the role.

Qualifications

• BS mechanical or manufacturing engineering or related discipline required.
• Minimum 2 years of manufacturing or production engineering experience.
• Experience reading engineering drawings and specifications.
• Proficiency with CAD and tooling design is expected.
• ITAR eligibility required.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on engineering support on the production floor.
• Troubleshoot process, tooling, material and equipment issues.
• Develop and maintain routings, BOMs, work instructions and process specifications.
• Design and modify tooling, molds and fixtures in CAD.
• Run engineering trials, mechanical testing and data analysis.
• Perform root cause analysis and corrective actions to reduce scrap.
• Support NPI and transfer of new products into production.
• Lead Lean and continuous improvement projects with cross functional teams.
