Job summary

Vaya Space, Inc. is seeking an IT Support Specialist (Part-Time) to assist internal staff with computer systems, hardware and software issues, and configuration guidance. You will work to resolve problems efficiently and document steps taken in the ticketing system.

The role requires strong Windows troubleshooting, excellent communication, and the ability to handle multiple requests in a fast-paced environment. Travel up to 10% may be required to support operations and training.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of professional IT help desk or similar experience.
• Strong knowledge of Windows-based computer systems and troubleshooting hardware, software, OS, and peripherals.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office/Microsoft 365 and Windows 11 environments.
• Ability to document findings and resolutions clearly.
• Ability to explain technical concepts to employees with varying levels of knowledge.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to prioritize multiple requests in a fast-paced environment.
• Willingness to work flexible hours to support operations.
• U.S. Person status to comply with export regulations.

Responsibilities

• Provide responsive technical support to internal employees via email, ticketing system, phone, remote tools, and in-person.
• Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, OS, network, printing, and peripheral issues.
• Deploy, configure, set up, maintain, and replace computers, mobile devices, hardware, and software.
• Document requests, steps, resolutions in the IT ticketing system.
• Follow up to ensure issues are resolved satisfactorily.
• Escalate unresolved or complex issues to IT personnel or third-party support.
• Assist with user accounts, access changes, password resets, software installs.
• Maintain technical documentation and SOPs.
• Assist with imaging, deployment, inventory, and lifecycle replacement.
• Provide basic training and guidance on systems and best practices.
• Identify recurring issues and help determine root causes and long-term solutions.
• Assist with reporting on support requests and trends.
• Communicate feedback and system improvements to internal teams.
• Support IT projects, upgrades, hardware deployments, and software rollouts.
