Job summary

Pratt & Whitney in the United States is seeking a Bench Mechanic for 2nd shift to support aerospace engine components. The role runs Monday–Friday, 3:30pm–11:30pm, with training on days for external candidates.

You will perform surface prep, masking, post-coating tasks, fault diagnosis, and minor repairs on coating equipment. Expect use of precision tools and adherence to quality standards in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 0-1 years related experience or a completed degree/certificate.
• High School or GED required.

Responsibilities

• Perform pre-coating operations including surface preparation and masking.
• Execute post coating tasks and diagnose equipment issues.
• Carry out minor repairs on coating equipment and perform deburring, grinding and polishing.
• Maintain Total Preventive Maintenance on machines.
• Verify parts meet quality using measuring tools and inspect for dimensional conformity.
• Follow oral and written instructions and support engineers on process improvements.
• Be flexible with shifts and overtime as needed.
