Job summary

Pratt & Whitney in Springdale, AR is seeking a Blender & Bench Mechanic for 2nd shift (M-F, 3pm–11:30pm). The role involves blending, deburring, and assembling aerospace case parts, with training on 1st shift. Read blueprints, prepare parts, and operate abrasive tools to exact specifications.

Responsibilities include inspection, paperwork, and routine maintenance. Strong technical aptitude and precision are required; on-site work supports the Aftermarket Repair PSD site operations in

Qualifications

• HS diploma (or equivalent, e.g. G.E.D in the US) with a minimum of 1-year of relevant experience.
• Auto body experience preferred.
• Experience working on parts or equipment requiring fine precision and hand manipulation preferred.

Responsibilities

• Read blueprints, drawings, manuals, specifications to determine work requirements on the part.
• Prepare parts for welding and/or machining by blending and deburring parts to written specifications.
• Set-up and operate machines including a selection of appropriate abrasive belt, wheel, or disk for blending and deburring.
• Inspect work on parts to verify conformance with these specifications.
• Complete required paperwork.
• Perform assembly, disassembly, blast, braze, sizing, heat treat, and cleaning operations as specified in the work instructions.
• Perform preventive maintenance of equipment within the scope of the role.
• Maintain clean work environment.
• Technical aptitude and desire to learn new skills is essential to this role.
