Job summary

Pratt & Whitney in Wells, ME is seeking a Bench Mechanic for second shift (Mon-Thu, 3:30pm–1:30am). You will perform pre-coating operations, surface prep, masking, deburring and post-coating tasks on aerospace engine components.

Responsibilities include using measuring tools to verify tolerances, conducting minor repairs on coating equipment, and assisting engineers with new operations. Flexibility for overtime is expected.

Qualifications

• 0–1 years of related experience or a post-secondary or vocational degree with 0–1+ years experience.
• High School or GED required.

Responsibilities

• Perform pre-coating operations from instructions and prepare surfaces.
• Masking, deburring, blending, grinding and post coating tasks as directed.
• Operate coating equipment and perform minor repairs where needed.
• Check parts against visual and dimensional specs with measuring tools.
• Assist engineers in developing new or changed operations.
• Follow oral and written instructions and maintain workflow with flexibility.
