Job summary

Pratt & Whitney is seeking a Bench Mechanic for the second shift in Maine (Mon-Thu, 3:30pm–1:30am). You will perform pre-coating operations, surface prep, masking, and post-coating tasks on aerospace engine components under supervision.

Responsibilities include deburring, blending, polishing, and using precision measuring tools to ensure quality. Occasional overtime and flexibility to support workflow are required.

Qualifications

• 0-1 years of related experience or a post-secondary degree/certificate in a related field.
• High School or GED.

Responsibilities

• Perform pre-coating operations and surface preparation.
• Masking duties and post coating tasks.
• Perform deburring, blending, polishing, grinding, drilling or grit blast on aerospace engine components.
• Check parts to meet visual and dimensional requirements using measuring equipment.
• Support engineers in developing new or changed operations.
• Maintain and repair coating equipment as needed.
