Job summary

RTX in North Berwick, ME is seeking a Bench Mechanic for the 2nd shift (Mon-Fri, 3:30pm-11:30pm). Training is provided on Dayshift for external candidates. You will perform pre-coating operations, surface preparation, masking and post-coating tasks on aerospace engine components.

You will use precision measuring tools to verify parts meet specifications and assist engineers with new or changed operations while upholding quality standards.

Qualifications

• High School or GED required or equivalent.
• 0-1 years of related experience, or a certificate from post-secondary/vocational school.
• Experience with metal finishing methods and precision measuring instruments is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform pre-coating operations including surface prep and masking.
• Post coating tasks such as removing parts from fixtures and masking.
• Repair coatings and perform deburring, grinding, or polishing as needed.
• Ensure parts meet visual and dimensional requirements.
