Job summary

Blue Origin LLC in Kent, WA is seeking an Engineer to own offshift engineering support of Additively Manufactured components from printing to post-processing using Laser Powder Bed printing. You will develop work instructions and drive process improvements across AM manufacturing, collaborating with design, operations, and quality teams to ensure parts meet specs.

The role requires a Bachelor's or higher in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering, 2+ years in aerospace, experience with LPB printing

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or higher in Mechanical/Aerospace Engineering or related field.
• Advanced degree in mechanical or aerospace engineering is preferred.
• 2+ years in aerospace or similar industries.
• Exposure to laser powder bed fusion printing or similar.
• Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident, or otherwise eligible.
• Able to support onsite in Kent, WA and occasionally off hours.

Responsibilities

• Own the offshift Engineering support of Additively Manufactured components from printing to post-processing production using LPB printing.
• Demonstrate machine specific workflows and software to improve additive designs.
• Develop manufacturing work instructions from print to delivery.
• Closely manage cost, quality, build sequence, and schedule of hardware through manufacturing.
• Perform root cause analyses for non-conformances and implement corrective actions.
