Job summary

McLane is seeking a skilled Mechanic II to support our nationwide distribution operations. You will perform a full range of diesel-related repairs on trailers, diagnose cooling and electrical systems, and execute preventive maintenance to keep fleets on the road.

The role requires at least 2 years of diesel repair experience, a high school diploma or GED, and a valid driver’s license (Class A preferred). Training on equipment is provided, with opportunities for certifications and advancement.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write, and understand English well.
• 2 years of diesel repair experience preferred.
• Valid driver’s license; Class A preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Perform the functions of a Grade 4 Mechanic.
• Carry out preventative maintenance and repairs on trailer refrigeration.
• Perform electrical and mechanical repairs, with and without supervision.
• Diagnose and repair diesel engines and schedule alignments as needed.
• Read service bulletins and maintain shop tools and paperwork.
