Job summary

McLane Company, Inc. is seeking a Mechanic II to perform preventative maintenance and repairs on trailers and refrigeration systems. You will handle complex mechanical and electrical tasks, diagnose issues, and work independently or with a team to ensure uptime.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years in diesel repairs and a valid Class C license; Class A is preferred. The role requires reading and following manuals, while on-call shifts and road calls are part of the job.

Qualifications

• 2 years job experience on diesel repairs, tractor-trailer, refrigeration maintenance and repairs.
• ASE PMI certification or equivalent is preferred.
• Valid Class C Driver's License; Class A preferred but not required.
• Ability to read, write and understand English for work instructions and safety.

Responsibilities

• Perform the functions of a Grade 4 Mechanic.
• Do preventative maintenance and repairs on trailer refrigeration.
• Complete mechanical and electrical repairs, some road calls and on-call work.
• Read service bulletins and manuals; maintain shop tools and paperwork.
