Job summary

SCA Health in the United States is hiring a Registered Nurse (RN) PreOp PACU to support perioperative care across the preoperative and postoperative continuum. You will assess patients, monitor vital signs, and collaborate with anesthesia and surgical teams to optimize recovery.

Ideal candidates have valid RN licensure, at least 1 year in pre-op or PACU, and current BLS/ACLS; pediatric certification as PALS may be required. The role offers competitive hourly pay and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an Accredited School of Nursing.
• One year of Pre Operative or PACU experience required
• Medical / surgical nursing experience
• Current state licensure to practice in good standing
• BLS/BCLS certification within 90 days of employment
• ACLS certification within 90 days of employment
• PALS certification required if pediatric care is included within the facility scope

Responsibilities

• Promote the mission, vision, and values of SCA Health.
• Assess patient’s preoperative and postoperative status per policies and procedures.
• Interpret information from monitors and describe underlying pathophysiology.
• Develop an individualized perianesthesia plan of care and implement it.
• Prepare for and manage patient recovery from anesthesia across modalities.
• Provide hand-off reports to team members with accurate, concise information.
• Document nursing care completely, accurately, and legibly.
• Collaborate effectively with other disciplines and participate in quality improvement.
