Job summary

Fairway Management, Inc. is seeking a proactive maintenance professional to support our apartment communities. You will perform unit turns, respond to work orders, and handle HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and general building maintenance with a focus on quality and safety.

You must manage time effectively, arrive on schedule, and collaborate with residents, vendors, and regional teams. Overtime and travel to nearby properties may be required, with a commitment to keeping our properties

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• 3+ years of multifamily, commercial, or hotel maintenance experience.
• Working knowledge of plumbing, electrical, basic HVAC, carpentry, appliance repair, painting and building operating systems.
• Knowledge of REAC and INSPIRE inspection preparation.
• Must be able to lift and perform physical tasks as part of maintenance duties.

Responsibilities

• Regularly troubleshoot electrical, plumbing, HVAC as part of unit turns, work orders, and preventive maintenance.
• Perform general repairs independently.
• Maintain curb appeal and cleanliness of properties.
• Complete daily resident work orders.
• Be available for after-hours on-call rotation.
• Bring and use applicable maintenance tools.
• Conduct unit make-readies including painting, carpet cleaning, and cleaning as needed.
• Perform quarterly preventive maintenance checks.
• Assist neighboring properties with maintenance tasks as needed.
• Procure supplies from area vendors and operate a registered, insured vehicle.
• Report to Regional Manager and Maintenance Superintendent for delegated tasks.
• Travel for regional and corporate training and conferences.
• Maintain positive relationships with residents, vendors, and staff.
• Inform the manager of health and safety concerns on site.
• Work overtime as required and approved.
• Participate in HVAC, safety, HUD and LIHTC training programs.
