Job summary

Fairway Management, Inc. seeks a skilled maintenance professional to support over 250 apartment communities and single-family rentals within the affordable housing market.

You will perform unit turns, HVAC, plumbing, electrical repairs, painting, and general maintenance to ensure high standards and timely turnover. Ideal candidates bring 3+ years of multifamily or similar experience, strong reliability, and the ability to work on-call after hours.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of multifamily/commercial/hotel maintenance experience.
• Working knowledge in plumbing, electrical, basic HVAC, carpentry, appliance repair, painting, and building operating systems.
• Knowledge of REAC and INSPIRE inspection preparation.

Responsibilities

• Regularly troubleshoot electrical, plumbing, HVAC as part of unit turns, work orders, and preventative maintenance.
• Perform general repairs independently.
• Maintain exceptional curb appeal.
• Complete daily resident work orders.
• Be available for on-call after hours.
• Must have applicable maintenance tools.
• Conduct unit make-readies ensuring timely completion (painting, carpet cleaning, and general unit cleaning).
• Perform quarterly preventative maintenance checks.
• Assist neighboring properties in maintenance tasks.
• Pick up supplies from area vendors while legally operating a vehicle.
• Report to Regional Manager and Maintenance Superintendent for delegated tasks.
• Travel to regional and corporate trainings and/or conferences as required.
• Maintain positive and professional relationships with residents, vendors, and staff.
• Notify manager of health and safety concerns on site.
• Willing to work overtime as needed and approved.
• Eager to train and learn company systems, engage in HVAC and safety training, and HUD/LIHTC maintenance standards.
