Job summary

Fairway Management, Inc. is seeking a proactive Maintenance professional to service 250+ apartment communities and subdivisions in the affordable housing sector.

You will perform drywall, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, and painting, respond to work orders, and help keep properties in top condition for residents. The role requires punctuality, on-call availability after hours, and the willingness to train on HUD/LIHTC standards, with travel as needed.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of multifamily, commercial, or hotel maintenance experience.
• Working knowledge of plumbing, electrical, basic HVAC, carpentry, and painting.
• Experience with building operating systems (eg, door entry systems, fire suppression).
• Knowledge of REAC and INSPIRE inspection preparation.

Responsibilities

• Regularly troubleshoot electrical, plumbing, HVAC as part of completing unit turns, work orders, and preventative maintenance.
• Perform general repairs independently.
• Maintain curb appeal and complete daily resident work orders.
• Be available for on-call after hours.
• Must have applicable maintenance tools.
• Conduct unit make-readies with timely painting, carpet cleaning, and cleaning as needed.
• Perform quarterly preventative maintenance checks.
• Assist neighboring properties in maintenance tasks.
• Travel to regional or corporate trainings as required.
• Maintain positive relationships with residents, vendors, and staff.
