Job summary

Fairway Management, Inc. is seeking a maintenance professional to support 250+ apartment communities and related properties. You will perform unit turns, repairs, preventive maintenance, and on-call duties ensuring safety and quality across properties.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years in multifamily or hotel maintenance, with strong plumbing/electrical/HVAC skills and knowledge of building systems. The role emphasizes reliability, safety, and proactive service.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or the equivalent.
• 3+ years of experience in multifamily, commercial, or hotel maintenance.
• Working knowledge in plumbing, electrical, basic HVAC, carpentry, appliance repair, painting, and building operating systems (eg. door entry systems, fire suppression).
• Knowledge of REAC and INSPIRE inspection preparation.
• HVAC EPA Type II Certification (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot electrical, plumbing, HVAC as part of unit turns, work orders, and preventative maintenance.
• Perform general repairs independently.
• Maintain exceptional curb appeal.
• Complete daily resident work orders.
• Be available for on-call after hours.
• Must have applicable maintenance tools.
• Conduct unit make-readies including painting, carpet cleaning, and general cleaning.
• Perform quarterly preventative maintenance checks.
• Assist neighboring properties in maintenance tasks.
• Pick up supplies from area vendors while operating a registered and insured vehicle.
• Reports to Regional Manager and Maintenance Superintendent for delegated tasks.
• Travel to regional and corporate training or conferences as required.
• Maintain positive relationships with residents, vendors, and staff.
• Flag health and safety concerns to the manager.
• Work overtime as needed and approved.
• Engage in training on HVAC, safety, HUD and LIHTC maintenance standards.
