Job summary

Fairway Management, Inc. seeks a motivated Maintenance Technician to support multiple apartment communities in performing routine repairs, unit turns, and preventive maintenance.

The role requires punctuality, diligence, and a proactive service mindset to keep properties in top condition for residents. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, painting, and general building maintenance, and is willing to travel to nearby properties and training

Qualifications

• High School diploma or the equivalent.
• 3+ years of multifamily, commercial, or hotel maintenance experience.
• Working knowledge in plumbing, electrical, basic HVAC, carpentry, appliance repair, painting, and building operating systems (e.g., door entry, fire suppression).
• Knowledge of REAC and INSPIRE inspection preparation.

Responsibilities

• Regularly troubleshoot electrical, plumbing, HVAC during unit turns, work orders, and preventive maintenance.
• Perform general repairs independently.
• Maintain exceptional curb appeal.
• Complete daily resident work orders.
• Be available for on-call after hours.
• Must have applicable maintenance tools.
• Conduct unit make-readies in a timely manner (painting, carpet cleaning, general cleaning).
• Perform quarterly preventive maintenance checks.
• Willing to assist neighboring properties in maintenance tasks.
• Pick up supplies from area vendors while legally operating a registered and insured vehicle.
• Reports to Regional Manager and Maintenance Superintendent for tasks.
• Travel to regional and corporate trainings or conferences as required.
• Maintain positive relationships with residents, vendors, staff.
• Report health and safety concerns on site.
• Willing to work overtime as needed and approved.
• Eager to train and learn company systems, HVAC safety training, HUD/LIHTC maintenance training.
