Job summary

GAF is seeking a Multicraft Technician II to execute advanced maintenance in a high-volume manufacturing plant. You will perform PMs, troubleshoot electrical and mechanical systems, read schematics, and support uptime with welding and millwright tasks.

Strong safety practices and the ability to work overtime/weekends as needed are essential. You will interact with maintenance and production teams to improve equipment reliability, uptime, and efficiency, leveraging your experience with 480V

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years industrial or manufacturing maintenance experience.
• Experience with Allen Bradley ControlLogix / RSLogix 5000 Software is a plus.
• Operate a manual mill and lathe; read blueprints and manuals.
• Read instructions, blueprints and manuals, and use meters and tools.
• MIG and Rod welding; workmanship on piping and mechanical systems.
• NFPA 70e certificate preferred; strong safety mindset.

Responsibilities

• Provide advanced maintenance support and PMs of equipment.
• Troubleshoot machine drives and conveying systems in high production.
• Read drawings, blueprints and manuals; use meters and shop tools.
• Perform welding, pipe work, and mechanical/electrical tasks.
• Ensure safety, quality, timeliness, and cost control.
