Job summary

GAF Newton, Kansas seeks a Maintenance Technician I to perform advanced multi-craft maintenance on a high-volume production line. You will troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems, read blueprints and schematics, and perform welding and fabrication as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 3+ years industrial maintenance in high-volume manufacturing preferred.
• Able to read instructions, blueprints, and manuals.

Responsibilities

• Provide general maintenance support and preventive maintenance on plant equipment.
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
• Perform welding (MIG and stick) and basic fabrication tasks.
• Work with PLCs and VFDs; read schematics and ladder logic.
• Coordinate with maintenance staff and production to minimize downtime.
