Job summary

GAF is building a new shingle manufacturing facility in Newton, Kansas, and seeks a Multicraft Technician II to perform advanced maintenance across mechanical, electrical, HVAC and facility systems. You will support production uptime, conduct troubleshooting, welding, and millwright work, and collaborate with a growing team in a fast-paced, safety-conscious environment.

Qualified candidates have 3+ years in industrial maintenance, familiarity with ControlLogix/RSLogix, and the ability to read

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years industrial or manufacturing maintenance experience.
• Experience with mechanical power trains, hydraulic and pneumatic equipment.
• Ability to read instructions, blueprints and manuals and use meters, hand tools and shop equipment.
• Experience with welding (MIG/Rod) and millwright tasks.
• Willingness to overtime and weekends when necessary.

Responsibilities

• Provide advanced maintenance support and PMs for plant equipment.
• Troubleshoot drives, conveyors and machine systems in high production environment.
• Complete work orders and document work in Maximo.
• Perform root-cause analysis on maintenance issues.
• Ensure safety, quality, timeliness, and cost effectiveness in all tasks.
• Engage with other maintenance team members and production departments.
