Job summary

Cox Fleet is hiring a Mobile Diesel Technician Level II to service light through heavy-duty trucks and trailers in the field. The role includes performing DOT inspections, PMs, diagnostics, and repairs, with responsibilities spanning electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic systems in a mobile setting.

The technician will work 11am–7:30pm Tuesday–Saturday, maintain safety standards, manage parts on a service truck, and coordinate with management for repairs and estimates.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED and 3 years’ experience in a related field.
• Possess and supply a set of hand tools necessary to perform required job duties.
• Obtain ASE T8 (PMI) certification within eighteen (18) months.
• DOT regulations compliance; complete pre-employment DOT background screen and DOT physical.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled PM, DOT inspections and follow-up repairs on light, medium and heavy-duty vehicles in a mobile/field environment.
• Diagnose, adjust, and repair electrical, braking, cooling, and engine systems in various trucks.
• Document work performed, parts used, and findings using Repair Orders on an iOS device and TRAIT app.
