Job summary

This role collaborates with clinicians, nurses, social workers, and other care providers to ensure smooth patient scheduling and care coordination. Selected candidates may be referred if pending certifications, with full qualification requirements described in the VA standards.

Qualifications

• Experience in scheduling, appointment coordination, or clinic support is common but not required.
• Ability to collaborate with clinicians across disciplines to support care delivery.
• Excellent communication skills to interact with patients and staff.
• Familiarity with medical terminology and health care processes is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate patient scheduling and appointments in coordination with the care team.
• Update patient demographics and insurance information.
• Support transfer coordination between VA facilities and external providers.
• Assist in managing patient flow and clinic operations.
