Job summary
Electrical Automation Services is seeking an experienced Controls Engineer for a night-shift, on-site role at our Glendale, AZ facility. You will program and troubleshoot Allen-Bradley PLCs on high-speed beverage lines, acting as the on-shift controls expert.
This salaried position requires 12-hour nights and relocation, if needed, with a strong focus on reliability and production throughput. The role involves mentoring maintenance teams, leading automation projects, and supporting PLC/HMI
Qualifications
- 4+ years of industrial automation on high-speed production lines
- Strong PLC programming and troubleshooting capabilities
- Ability to read electrical schematics and control drawings
- Willingness to work a 12-hour night shift 6:00 PM–6:00 AM
Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary on-shift controls and automation expert
- Provide Tier 1 and Tier 2 troubleshooting for automated processing, filling, canning, conveying, and packaging equipment
- Diagnose PLC, HMI, VFD, servo, and industrial-network issues and restore production safely
- Identify recurring equipment problems and implement permanent corrective actions
- Develop and execute controls projects to improve safety, quality, reliability, and throughput
- Support commissioning, upgrades, and system integration projects
- Mentor and train maintenance technicians and operators
