Job summary

Progress Residential, L.P. is seeking a Service Technician III - HVAC to provide exceptional customer service while inspecting, troubleshooting and repairing HVAC systems in our single-family homes.

You will perform both scheduled and emergency maintenance, ensure safety and compliance, and report major repairs before spending funds. Required are 5+ years in general maintenance, HVAC/EPA certifications, and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 5+ years general service and maintenance experience.
• HVAC Certification preferred.
• EPA Certification required.
• 5 years experience maintaining furnaces, AC, ducts, water heaters and related piping/electrical.
• Experience repairing residential appliances.
• Own basic tools for ongoing service in residential environments.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• On-call, weekends and evenings availability.
• Experience in single-family or multi-family rental industry preferred.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Good interaction with residents and vendors.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Physical: ability to lift 50 pounds.
• Knowledge of EPA/OSHA regulations.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and handheld devices.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, troubleshoot and repair HVAC systems in Progress Residential homes.
• Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance and replacements as needed.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot advanced issues and repair or replace components.
• Report major repairs before expenditure of funds.
• Maintain safety and compliance with regulations.
• Complete service requests professionally and in a timely manner.
• Maintain punctual attendance.
• Interact with residents and contractors professionally.
• Handle other duties as assigned.
